Gregory Law Firm Commitment
I realize, accept, and commit my daily energies to a fight for justice, using all advancements, resources, and technologies available, presenting my client’s case with hard work and dedication in the light most favorable. That obligation is more than trial and error. It is my chosen career.
I joined the Florida Bar because I wanted a license to provide high quality, professional and ethical legal services to Florida residents at the State level.
I joined several Federal Bars, including the U.S. Supreme Court, so I could handle legal cases at each venue to the best of my legal ability. Each of these admissions were mandatory – no privileges to practice without approval to practice in those jurisdictions.
I joined the voluntary bar associations for different reasons as referenced below.
American Association for Justice (AAJ)
No association does a better job of helping to protect access to the civil justice system on a national level, including educating its members on litigation topics to enable the counselors to best serve the public with “strength in knowledge, power from networking, and united for justice”. See www.justice.org.
Florida Justice Association (FJA)
Provides never-ending protection of victim’s rights at the Florida State level, including lobbying and networking with legislators on matters in the public interest, and is “dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida’s citizens and consumers”. See www.FloridaJusticeAssociation.org.
American Bar Association (ABA)
The standard bearer for all lawyers, litigators, and transactional lawyers proving networking benefits and promoting the “defense of liberty, pursing justice”. See www.americanbar.org.
The Injury Board (IB)
Arguably does the best job of promoting the “radius of influence” concept – IB has approximately 100 member law firms united in advising the public that each trial lawyer promotes safety first. We IB members believe that the dual right of access to the Courts and protection of basic human rights is the heart and soul of American liberty. IB fights to ensure violators are held accountable when these inalienable rights are abridged.
IB is unique in that it works within its IB membership to get this message to the general public through our grassroots movement. IB members are bound together by a common set of values, inclusive or “professional competency, lasting client relationships, results outweigh rewards, and working for the greater good”. See www.injuryboard.com.
There are several other voluntary bar associations that have their own provisions for helping attorneys better serve the public. But after the legal practice regiment – there is life.
On community activities, giving back to the communities where I practice is not lightly considered. Helping others is more important than all of the profits or losses endured in the profession. It’ s a reason for living. After all...
“I think there’s just one kind of folks. Folks.”
